The electronically controlled attenuator and the input selector with no mechanical contact, has achieved dramatically powerful, lucid and clear sound quality than mechanical volume control and switches. Reduced many kind of elements that causes the stagnation of the music signal to reproduce the natural depth and spread stress-free, "elegant" and "refined" sound. So far in amplifier that we have worked on, it is a "tour de force" with the most smooth and natural sound. In addition to the conventional voltage-mode type (S502), we have also released a new type for current-mode audio interface (S502i). Once you listen to the sound quality of current-mode that has reached the area where you are awake, you will not forget.

How does the voltage-mode and the current-mode signaling works?

By adopting the principle superior current-mode signaling in exchanging music signals, it is progressing dramatically from the conventional audio system. By simplifying the conventional voltage-mode complex equipments, the purity of the music signal has been dramatically improved.

Smart Size ― Easy to wiring from rear panel.

In size-held in one hand, you do not choose a place to put it. Since the depth is narrow, it does not get in the way routing of the wiring from the rear panel.

Japanese Taste ― The texture of Japan.

The top plate in 5mm thick acrylic, lighting watermark handmade Japanese paper brings the texture of Japanese taste. Elegant and cool, finished with a timeless design. The color of the paper is by hope, you can choose from below color variations. You can also choose gray-smoke monotone or clear-transparent panel without Japanese paper.

Large Front Panel ― Easy to operate.

Because it has taken a wide width to depth, you can leisurely operation. Operation is the power switch, input switching, volume control, mute switch only and does not need complicated settings.

No Habit Sound Quality ― Thoroughly eliminate the element that causes the stagnation of the music signal.

We deeply considered and serveyed about elements that cause a stagnation of the music signal. As a major factor, "bold and clumsy" connectors and terminals with too much conductor, metal plated wires, excessive amount of solder and so on. These by thoroughly eliminated, balanced of frequency range, there is no hysterical distorted voice with a feeling of a high-frequency range and electronic equipment smell incidental sound of habit, finished in a natural unprecedented "elegant" and "refined" sound quality. The moment you listen, you will feel a very smoothness.

Scalability of the Speaker Terminals ― Can be installed banana plug attachment adaptor.

From a sound quality, an ideal speaker terminal has as small metal parts as possible. This terminal system also supports traditional banana plug by optional adapter. This allows you to set up a flexible system in response to the needs of our customers. As a result, including the tying of bare wire, Y type terminal, C type terminal, fine pin, banana plug, it can accommodate a variety of speaker cable.

Ultimate 7 watt ― Enough to enjoy music in your living room.

Compared with small transistors, high power transistors tend to be unfocused and low resolution in sound character. So we felt necessity of making a tiny power amplifier enough to listen to musics in an ordinary living room. By selecting high performance semiconductors, we developed this ultimate 7 watt amplifier. Incredible clear, sparkling and natural sound. This can comfortably drive at low-efficiency speakers of about 85dB/W, you can enjoy the music in than enough volume to listen to at home.

Sophisticated Internal Structure ― Fully discrete, voltage feedback amplifier (voltage-mode signaling).

By the electronically controlled input selector and attenuator with no contact, it achieved a clear sound quality with a sense of transparency. Amplifier section is to further evolve the fully discrete, voltage feedback and high slew-rate structure. We also stuck to the selection of semiconductors. Sound quality with open-sounding and a sense of speed, you will forget the existence of the audio equipment.

High Slew-rate — Fully discrete, current feedback amplifier (current-mode signaling).

This newly designed fully discrete amplifier for current-mode signaling has input impedance 0Ω. Ultimate low noise, high S/N, high speed and strong sounds can be heard. Input volume is our newly designed electronically controlled current divider type attenuator (64 steps). With DC servo circuits, only a few mV of DC offset appears at the output. The photo shows gray-smoke monotone panel.

All Stainless Steel ― Good quality music dwells in a sturdy structure.

Including the chassis, spacers, bolts and nuts, all have adopted the stainless steel. Among the metal, stainless steel rigid vibration transmission speed (about 5740m / sec.) is comparatively faster. Not accumulate the vibrational energy to the chassis, the mechanical ground of the vibration that quickly performed, was to further improve the expressive power of a fine sound. In addition, the electrical resistance (internal loss) of stainless steel is larger than that of the copper and aluminum (about 429 times that of copper), to absorb the electromagnetic noise from the internal circuit and external environment, there is also the advantage of easily consumed as heat. In this way, we are contributing significantly to the low noise of the material of the chassis.

Interfaces and types

Voltage-mode and current-mode signaling

This product has types corresponding to either conventional voltage input (S502) or current audio input (S502i) which is a new audio interface. S502i is also equipped with a single voltage input (600 Ω input impedance), one resistor converts to current input and sent to the amplifier, so it is possible to obtain a clearer, more powerful sound quality close to the characteristics of current-mode.
